The current Ricoh Theta Stitcher works perfectly for stitching Raw images from the Z1 or X. But there are a couple reasons to stitch with PtGui: Batch Stitching is more bulletproof, you can correct problems at the seam with masking.
Unfortunately PtGui has not yet accommodated the X (as of Sept 26, 2024) If you try to stitch an X image, it will think it’s from the Z1 and get it wrong.
But we’ve created a preliminary template for you. About Templates and where to place them.
On a PC, it’s usually C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\PTGui\Templates but you can place them anywhere.
Watch this video to learn why and how to stitch the X with PtGui.
