Arkisketch scanner is a crowdfunded device that uses laser and augmented reality to measure spaces and create 2D and 3D floorplans.  It is made primarily for interior designers, to help them plan and design space, including virtual furniture.

The crowdfunding campaign ends on December 1 (it’s already reached its target nine times over).  If you’d like to support the project, you can do so here:

The current price is $134 plus $20 for shipping, with delivery scheduled in May 2018. Please note that crowdfunding is not like preordering an item. It’s more like giving them money with the hope that they will send you a product.  There are often delays, and occasionally, the project fails completely and you usually don’t get your money back. This one SEEMS like it’s pretty far along and the product looks simple enough that it looks like they will probably be able to produce it at some point, although there are no guarantees with crowdfunding.
