Insta360 Studio 2019 update adds thumbnails

Insta360 Studio 2019 (tutorial here) has been updated to add thumbnails, among other improvements, making it easier to sort through your INSP photos and INSV videos.  The thumbnails will even show VR180 photos and videos from Insta360 EVO (reviewed here) as double circular fisheye thumbnails to make it even easier to separate the VR180 photos and videos from 360 photos and videos.

Insta360 Studio is the desktop software for Insta360‘s consumer cameras, including the popular Insta360 One X (reviewed here).  It is used for stitching photos and videos as well as converting 360 videos into overcapture / freecapture non-360 videos with keyframing.  To update your Insta360 Studio, launch it and if you’re not prompted to update it, go to Help and select Check Updates.

  • How can I see the thumbnails? Installed the newest studio but I don’t see the thumbnails. Should I see them in the Windows Explorer?
