Unboxing of the Giroptic iO 360 camera for iPhone and iPad

Giroptic iO unboxing

Here is an unboxing video for the Giroptic iO, a 360 camera for iPhone and iPad.
I finally got the Giroptic iO, a 360 camera for iPhone and iPad.  I demoed it briefly at CES 2017 and was impressed by its ease of use.

To recap, here again are the iO’s key specifications:
– two 195-degree fisheye lenses
– fully spherical field of view
– f/1.8 aperture
– Photo resolution: 3840 x 1920
– Video resolution: 1920 x 960 @ 30fps
– wireless 360 live streaming capability.

The Giroptic iO is compatible with several iOS devices:
– iPhone 7 series
– iPhone 6 series
– iPhone SE
– iPhone 5s
– iPad Air, Air 2, or Pro
– iPad Mini 2, 3, or 4

Here’s the unboxing:

I’ve only taken a few test shots and test videos but so far the iO seems to work well and is very easy to use.  I also like its cleverly-designed case, which not only doubles as a stand, but also allows the iO to be charged while safely enclosed in its case.

If you liked the unboxing video, do subscribe to 360 Rumors’ YouTube channel.  Meanwhile, I will be testing the iO and will be comparing it against my other 360 cameras, including the Insta360 Air and Insta360 Nano.
