Insta360 has released an extendable tripod stand for its Invisible Selfie Stick and other monopods. The stand extends from 6 inches (152 mm) to 9 inches (232 mm) and has a standard 1/4-20 tripod connector.
The stand would make the Invisible Selfie Stick even more useful, enabling you to use your Insta360 One X (reviewed here) or other 360 camera as a standalone camera, either for 360 videos or for overcapture non-360 videos where you control the view. However, one issue with the stand’s design is that it cannot be adjusted for inclines, unlike the Qubo stand.
Insta360 recommends using the tripod only with a monopod or selfie stick no longer than 1.5m (4.9 ft). (For reference, the Invisible Selfie Stick is 1.2m.) To improve its stability, you can add stackable counterweights such as this one.
