The sample video really showcases the capabilities of the GoPro Bones. I appreciate the beginner’s guide too; it’s super helpful for someone like me who’s just starting with Naked GoPro setups. Thanks for the insights!

Great review, to the point, yet all the information I was looking for. I’m deciding between the Bones and the regular Hero 10. Had a GEPRC naked 8, I got one flight in on it, came in, set the cinewoop on the edge of the couch, it fell off, and the board cracked in the naked hero 8. I’ve heard GoPro’s version is much tougher, not as tough as standard hero, but way better than DIY versions. I’m mostly going to use it on a Flywoo Mr. Croc 6″ I’m building as a chase drone for motocross, so I’m leaning towards regular hero.

Also, real quick, I’m not sure if you’re in the U.S. or not, but there are a WHOLE LOTTA fpv pilots sinking time and money into these sub250gram quads here. I’m not sure why people aren’t talking about this more often, or if the FAA’s choice of posting and informing us about the changes in regulations soon to be enforced, and new Tidal Law next year, just has everyone confused on what’s what, but after the regulations kick in, they’re going to be pissed. It is true you don’t have to register a sub250, inversely, no setting up remote ID without registration, with no remote ID and no registration, you will be limited to flying in doors, or at a FRIA, if you’re lucky to to even have one if your state…lol. Thanks again for the info on the Bones.

Awesome! I just tried that and it worked! I didn’t realize that the tension would tighter the fork up nice and snug. Appreciate that!

Hi Nick. I used the same M2 screw I usually use and even though it was smaller, there was enough tension in the forks to hold the Bones.

I am so curious as to how you mounted the Bones to the cinelog25 mount you have pictured there. The bones has an M3 slot, but the cinelog seems to have 1.5-2. What’s the trick?
