That would be very mysterious.Try matching the devices super-sampling. The Rift is automatically set to a high setting. The Samsung is a technically superior device, and it shows.

A big advantage of the OD + is the colors and black levels. Also on the OD + the anti screen door effect takes a lot of the screen door away at the expense of a softer image. So the better resolution and clarity goes to the Rift S, the better colors, contrast and black levels as well as a diminished screen door goes to the OD + at the expensive a softer picture. You can raise super sampling, but that effects performance. You will need better hardware and graphics card to do that.

Controller, tracking, programming, updates, software, clarity, no need for 3rd party software, easier setup.. etc goes to the rift S.

Hk Krisi! Odyssey can do that but it’s a bit of overkill. If that is your main purpose, oculus go can do that too and it is portable and untethered. https://360rumors.com/oculus-go-review/

Would you recommend the Odyssey+ to watch 3D and 2D movies on BIG screen? Eg. SKYBOX VR player…

Controller Tracking (even with the latest firmware) isn’t significantly better for the Rift S and I had more controller disconnects with the Oculus. I find the key to getting awesome tracking in the WMR headset is to have ample front lighting and then you never have drift or tracking issues with the Odyssey+.

Another area, is in the display quality… I found the Odyssey+ much more vibrant and super sampling eliminated any perceptive difference in sharpness between the two headsets with the Samsung clearly having the superior display technology.
