The shutter speed can be as slow as 60 seconds but the current version of the app does not yet have manual exposure. I believe they will add this in the future. edit: correction – the app now has manual exposure!

Insta360 is a awesome company and this is an awesome camera!

BUT: The gap left between the camera and the phone is an absolutely tragic design flaw! It will break off the lighting connector on the camera, or on the port of the iPhone, or both, INSTANTLY AT THE FIRST JOLT OR STRESS!

No go!

Hi Bill. That’s true, it is similar to overcapture in terms of result, but with a different way of doing it (“recording” with a smartphone). At the same time, before GoPro announced overcapture, there were already several 360 video editors that could convert 360 video into non-360 video. The best editor for doing that is actually Insta360 Studio, which I wrote about back in July 2016 (not 2017) https://360rumors.com/2016/07/transform-your-360-videos-with-insta360.html .
