Thanks Jim! TBH, Theta Z1 and XPhase are better than Aleta S2C. Theta has excellent dynamic range, has very good stitching, and is the easiest. Here is my Z1 review: https://360rumors.com/ricoh-theta-z1/ XPhase is the most detailed (as detailed as a DSLR panorama) but stitching is not perfect. Here is my xphase review: https://360rumors.com/xphase-review/ See if the Xphase stitching is adequate for your purposes. If yes, then get Xphase. If the stitching is not perfect enough, then i’d recommend Z1.

I am looking to use 360 degree camera shots in a virtual tour scenario, but based on accident investigation scenarios. Will be indoor and outdoors.

I do have DSLR camera and fish eye but the ides would be to have a camera like the Aleta, but is the quality good enough for walk throughs and tour type scenario please?

The process for updating the firmware is pretty simple: download the firmware in zip format. Transfer the zip file to your micro sd card. Insert the micro sd card into the camera and turn it on and wait for it to install and reboot. That’s all….
