Is there a way to view 360 pictures that doesn’t involve turning your head ? Unless you have swivel chair (and enough room) the Gallery method isn’t great. On top of head movement it would be great to scroll around with the remote but I can’t find a way to do that…any apps that can do that ? It’s possible with Google Photos of course but it’s not full screen.

What type of 3D support were you after ? Mirage ? The old .mpo’s ?

I’ve found that my old 3D videos from my 3D1 stored on YouTube work well (once I figured I had to go full screen to access the different projections !). Haven’t tried playing them locally but it shouldn’t be a problem. Not sure about .mpo’s though, doubt it actually.

Did you ever find a way to do that ? They are BIG indeed 😉

I’m not sure to understand what you mean with this: “Oculus Go has 3-axis rotational tracking, like the Samsung Gear VR. This means it can track your head movement, but cannot track horizontal or vertical movement. To get the best experience with Oculus Go, I highly recommend using it while on a swivel chair”.

Does that means that I won’t be able to explore the 360 photos and videos down and up and horizontally as I do with my Samsung Gear VR? What does a swivel chair in order to help a better experience?

My English and Tech backgrpund is not good. So, excuse me for my lack of understanding.

Also, I’m worried with the lack of diopter, since I wear eye glasses and I always have to move the diopter wheel of my Gear VR, in order to addapt it to my eyes. Do you thing that this could be bothering me or not, because as far as the glasses correct my vision, everything will be OK?

Thank you very much in advance!

The lack of easy universal 3D support was unfortunate. Some 2D media was interesting but not enough for me to keep it. And I’m not interested in watching hours of content or games and such in a headset. I want to see what I produce and what a few other’s put online. And to be honest, it was not all that a great of experience in terms of resolution. I thought it would be amazing. It was not. I think I’ll work towards a Daydream setup.

Doing some testing now on my Go for the film we’re about to release. My tests on 4096×4096 or 3840×3840 are just producing a green screen on the Go. My 2k 3D tests are working great but wondering whats the max resolution and bit rate I should try and go for the Go????
